Our story
Repaired the right way for over 20 years
For more than 20 years, Marlin Motors has repaired South Florida's cars the right way — with craftsmanship, honest communication, and a genuine care for the people who walk through our doors. We're not the biggest shop in Miami-Dade, and we've never tried to be. We're the shop your neighbor tells you about, the one the dealership sends you to when they want the job done properly, and the one you come back to years later because that first repair held up and we stood behind it.
A family shop, built one car at a time
Marlin Motors is a family-run body shop in Cutler Bay, tucked just off SW 107th Avenue — the street locals still call Marlin Road. What began as a small neighborhood operation has grown, over two decades, into one of the most trusted names for collision and paint work in the area. That growth didn't come from billboards or gimmicks. It came the slow, honest way: one well-done repair at a time, one happy customer telling another.
A lot of the people who drive in today were sent by a friend, a family member, or a local dealership that trusts us with their customers' cars. Many have been coming to us for years — and now they're bringing their kids. Owner Vydesh Ramjit still runs the shop the way it started: hands-on, personally involved, and accountable for every car that leaves the lot. When you deal with Marlin Motors, you're dealing with people who put their name on the work — not a faceless chain where you never meet the person responsible for your repair.
Paint that matches. Work that lasts.
Ask our customers what sets us apart and most of them will say the same thing: the paint. Color matching is the hardest part of body work to get right, and it's the detail people mention most in their reviews — a finish that's dead-on to the factory color, blended so cleanly you can't tell where the repair ends and the original panel begins. That's not luck. It's the result of the right materials, the right process, and a crew that takes the time to get the finish right before handing your car back.
We hold every vehicle to that same standard, whether it's a daily commuter with a dented door or a weekend Ferrari that needs a full respray. A Corvette, a classic, a family SUV, an everyday sedan — same attention to detail, same pride, same finish. To us, your car matters because it's yours.
Everything your car needs after a collision — and before one
Marlin Motors is a full-service body shop. We handle collision and structural repair, complete auto body work, custom paint and refinishing, dent and ding removal, and auto customization — on all makes and models, foreign and domestic, from mainstream brands to high-end European imports.
If your car has been in an accident, we can take it from the first estimate all the way through to the final detail. If you just want a scratch gone, a bumper straightened, or a fresh custom finish, we do that too. Whatever the job, you'll get an honest assessment of what it actually needs — not a padded list of work you don't.
Honest communication, start to finish
We know a body shop isn't where anyone wants to spend their week. A wreck is stressful enough without the repair adding to it. So we keep it simple and human: clear estimates, fair prices, and real communication. We'll tell you what we're doing, what it costs, and when it'll be ready — and we keep you updated by text and email along the way, so you're never left wondering where your car stands.
Need help getting your vehicle to us or back home again? We offer pickup and delivery. And because South Florida is a bilingual community, our team speaks both English and Spanish, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Insurance, handled — and backed by our word
We work with all insurance companies and can help you navigate the claims process, so the paperwork is one less thing on your plate. More importantly, we stand behind what we do: we back our body and paint work with a lifetime warranty, for as long as you own the vehicle. If something isn't right with the work we performed, you bring it back. That's the whole point of doing it right the first time.
A reputation you can check
You don't have to take our word for any of this. Marlin Motors holds a 4.8-star rating across more than 120 reviews, and customers keep pointing to the same things: quality craftsmanship, fair and honest pricing, quick turnaround, and a team that treats you like family instead of a ticket number. Twenty-plus years in, that reputation is the thing we protect most carefully — because in this business, it's the only thing that lasts longer than the paint.
If your car needs work, we'd be glad to take a look. Stop by the shop on SW 188th Street, give us a call, or send us a few photos of the damage for a free estimate. We'll tell you honestly what it needs — and then we'll make it right.
Certifications
Marlin Motors is an I-CAR Gold Class shop and a certified collision repair center for Hyundai, Genesis, and FCA — Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. Here is what each of those actually means.
- I-CAR Gold Class
- Gold Class is I-CAR’s shop-level recognition, and it is not a one-time exam. Holding it means our technicians keep training on an ongoing basis, in the roles they actually work in, as vehicle technology changes.
- Hyundai Certified Collision Repair Center
- Hyundai certifies shops that carry the specific tooling, equipment and technician training its vehicles require. A Hyundai repaired here is repaired to Hyundai’s own procedures.
- Genesis Certified Collision Repair Center
- Genesis is Hyundai’s luxury division and runs its own separate certification program. We hold both.
- FCA Certified Collision Repair Facility
- FCA covers Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. Certification means we repair those vehicles to the manufacturer’s published repair procedures rather than a generic equivalent.
- OEC Certified Repair Provider
- OEC’s Certified Repair Network administers the manufacturer certification programs above. Qualifying includes an on-site inspection of a shop’s tooling, equipment and training against the manufacturer’s requirements.
